"Nintendo To Release Games Digitally On 3DS And Wii U Starting In August"

Nintendo has never been a big fan of digital content for its platforms, though they have improved over the lifetime of the Wii and with the introduction of the 3DS. However they still have a long way to go. For instance, with the launch of the PS Vita, Sony promised to release every game in digital form day-and-date with the retail version.

That’s pretty sweet for the user. And now CEO Satoru Iwata has confirmed that Nintendo will do the same with its first party titles for 3DS and the Wii U when it launches. It’s the

"Acer Aspire V3 coming to Japan for $1,100"

It looks like the sexy Acer Aspire V3 is headed for Japan. And it has almost everything you want. A 2.1GHz Ivy Bridge Core i7 is nice, but the screen is just 1366 x 768. Though it does have a Blu-ray player and Dolby Theater v4. That might be a deal-breaker for some, but there’s still a lot to like here.
Besides, not everyone wants 1080p on a small laptop anyway. This 15.6-inch laptop also sports HD 4000 graphics for your gaming needs, a 750GB HDD, and up to 8GB of RAM.

"Google Translate turns 6, has 200 million monthly users"

In Douglas Adam’s iconic Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, a universe teeming with billions of languages and dialects understand each other thanks to the Babel fish. The fish is inserted through the ear, whereupon it “feeds on brain wave energy, absorbing all unconscious frequencies and then excreting telepathically a matrix formed from the conscious frequencies and nerve signals picked up from the speech centres of the brain, the practical upshot of which is that if you stick one in your ear, you can instantly understand anything said to you in any form of language: the speech you hear decodes the brain wave matrix.”
Google Translate is no babel fish but it's getting there
In reality thankfully, there is Google Translate, which does not require the insertion of a fish or indeed any living creature through any bodily orifice. It only requires a working Internet connection, the text you want translated, and voila! Instant understanding.
And as more and more people come around to the magic of the service, Google Translator turned six with the impressive news that its services were being used by 200 million people every month.

European researchers say they have discovered a new subatomic particle that helps confirm our knowledge about how quarks bind — one of the basic forces in the shaping of matter. AP
The European Organisation for Nuclear Research, or CERN, said Friday the particle was discovered at one of CERN’s two main experiments involving thousands of researchers, in collaboration with the University of Zurich.
Joe Incandela, the physicist in charge of the experiment involved with the discovery, told The Associated Press the particle was predicted long ago but finding it was “really kind of a classic tour de force of experimental

"Google vs Dropbox: It might make sense to use both"

Dropbox and Drive both have their uses

Google’s new cloud storage and sharing service, Drive, which was launched earlier this month, is looking to take on other popular services such Dropbox and Microsoft’s SkyDrive Live. But how does it stack up against these much loved programmes? Does it have enough going for it to convince users to switch? And more importantly should you be worried about your privacy?
In our opinion, to call Drive a Dropbox killer would be too soon, because users can easily choose to use both services. However Google’s Drive is admittedly very convenient for people who use Google Docs extensively, as it automatically (and a little worryingly) syncs all your documents.
