Google Chromecast tested playback via Third-party website

Google Chromecast tested playback via Third-party website
Google’s YouTube service has this week started testing support for Google Chromecast playback via third-party website that have embedded YouTube web players installed.
The new testing of the YouTube web players on third-party sites will help expand the YouTube only play back currently offered by the new Google Chromecast streaming device.
The testing has been rolling out over the past few days and now will reveal a new Google Chromecast TV button on supported websites. YouTube explained
“With more videos coming to YouTube every minute we’re always experimenting with ways to help people more easily find, watch and share the videos that matter most to them. As always, we’ll consider rolling changes out more broadly based on feedback on these experiments.”
To re-cap Google Chromecast can stream media through your network and from your laptop, desktop, smartphone and tablet devices as well as YouTube, Netflix, Pandora, and tons of Google Play content. The new Google Chromecast support Android, iOS, Chrome for Mac, and Chrome for Windows and plygs into any HDTV equipped with a HDMI port.
“Google Chromecast is the easy way to enjoy online video and anything from the web on your TV. Plug it into any HDTV and control it with your existing smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Send your favorites from Google Play, YouTube, Netflix, and Chrome to your TV with the press of a button. No more huddling around small screens and tiny speakers. Google Chromecast automatically updates to work with a growing number of apps.”

Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch lands on India Market!

Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch lands on India Market!

Samsung today also launched its Galaxy Gear smartwatch in India along with the Galaxy Note 3. And while we know that smartwatches are the next must-have in most of the smartphone brand’s portfolio, Samsung is only after Sony to make a quick step ahead to launch its smartwatch this year.
In terms of its individuality, the Galaxy Gear works more as an accessory that will enhance your smartphone experience but does not hold much value as a separate unit.
So you can use the smartwatch to keep a track of notifications on smartphone, and even to receive as well as make calls once it is connected to your main gadget.
It is currently compatibility with the Galaxy Note 3 and Note Tab 10.1 (2014 edition) for now. But Samsung says it will be compatible with the Galaxy S4, Galaxy SIII and Galaxy Note II, after the company brings an update to its other smartphones as well. This can also depend on the roll out of the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update on Samsung’s devices.

Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch Specs and More

  • 1.6-inch Super AMOLED display with 320×320 resolution.
  • 2-megapixel camera with a recorder and auto-focus lens. The recorder is a max of 10 seconds.
  • 4GB of internal memory with 512 MB of RAM (this is pretty impressive.)
  • The battery, per Samsung, will be able to last up to 25 hours.
  • With the S Voice feature, users will be able to place/receive calls, text messages, manage calendar events, create voice memos, set wake-up alarms and even check the weather.
  • The Find My Device feature will also be the on Galaxy Gear which is a great tool for many customers. When lost, an alert can be sent to make it beep, light up or vibrate.
  • Over 70 apps will be available for the Galaxy Gear.
  • Funky and colorful options await the buyer such as Oatmeal Beige, Rose Gold, Lime Green and more.
  • The phone is due to cost $299 (which is jaw dropping, considering it is a companion device.)

Indian Nina Davuluri Wins Miss America 2014 Title

Nina Davuluri, Miss New York, was crowned the new Miss America on Sunday night in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Miss New York, the second Miss America winner from her state in the past two years, gracefully proves that pageant contestants needn't worry about onstage flubs, as she missed her cue during the talent competition earlier in the evening.
Miss America contestants this year ranged from a tattooed Army sergeant to a woman born without part of her arm.
