MELBOURNE: India were finally knocked out of the tri-series as Sri Lanka brought a heart-breaking end to their nervous wait with a nail-biting nine-run victory over Australia in the last over of a must-win contest on Friday.

India needed an Australian win to qualify for the finals but it was Sri Lanka who secured a passage to the summit showdown as they scraped past the hosts in a match which saw fortunes fluctuating from one team to another till the very end at the MCG.

MUMBAI: Infosys Ltd, hoarder of the biggest cash pile in India's computer-services industry, said the number of European companies with "broken" economic models has risen, increasing opportunities for acquiring them.

India's second-biggest software exporter is looking to buy companies that own intellectual property as well as niche consulting firms and corporations that will boost its interaction with clients in France and Germany, Chief Financial Officer V Balakrishnan said in an interview in Bangalore, where the company is based. Any deal in Europe would be small, he said without elaborating.

NEW DELHI: Students in India will have more options to choose from as far as low-cost tablets go with a global education company launching an android tablet costing Rs 5,000. 

International education company Across World along with Delhi-based Go-Tech would launch a tablet, called ATabin, in the second week of March. 

The seven-inch android touchscreen tablet will have a three-year free access to education technology platform 'EducationBridge' which allows academic institutions, teachers and students to use a variety of content and educational resources through a software called open source. 

The tablet, however, is not that cheap as Aakash, which the government had launched in 2011.Aakash is the world's lowest priced tablet at $35 (about Rs 1,700).
