Walmart Slashes iPhone 5C Price to $45

Walmart Slashes iPhone 5C Price to $45
Interested in picking up Apple’s new iPhone 5C? You might want to considerdropping by Walmart — the discount department store has lowered the price of Apple’s most colorful smartphone to just $45 with a two-year contract.
Walmart was already selling the iPhone 5C for $79 — $20 below Apple’s MSRP — and has now cut the price by another $35. Why the price drop? We’re pretty sure it’s related to Best Buy’s current promotion of the iPhone 5C for $50 (thanks to a $50 Best Buy gift card promotion).
While Best Buy’s discount will last through the weekend, Walmart tells us that “customers can expect this low price throughout the holiday season.” That’s great news for customers who are looking at adding or upgrading an iPhone to their wireless plans in the next few months.
This isn’t the first time Walmart has undercut Apple’s prices (with a two-year contract) on the iPhone. In June, the company made unprecedented cuts to the prices of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S.

Samsung Galaxy S4 and Note 3 come with a Exynos 5 Octa versions

Samsung Galaxy S4 and Note 3 come with a Exynos 5 Octa versions
It was announced earlier that Exynos 5 Octa SoC will be able to use all eight cores simultaneously instead of the 4+4 architecture. Meizu also confirmed that the current Exynos chips can be upgraded with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing technology (HMP) to utilize all eight cores. But, it appears to be highly unlikely for Samsung Galaxy S4 and Note 3 to get true Octa-core support.
It seems that Samsung will not be able to bring the true-Octa core update to its current devices. Currently, Samsung Galaxy S4 and Note 3 come with a Exynos 5 Octa versions, but Samsung mentioned that it is unlikely that these devices will get the true-octa core capabilities. The news came from chief technical expert from Samsung’s Mobile Solutions department.
The engineer mentioned that it is possible for Samsung to release a software patch to enable all eight cores, but the current hardware is not designed to do the job and sustain that much heat. Thus, there might be heating issues that have already plagued many Galaxy S4 users.
With regards to Android 4.4 KitKat, the expert advised that the update is still months away as the Korean giant is focusing on upgrading the current devices to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
So, it seems that the folks at Meizu might be wrong as the chipset manufacturer itself mentioned that the current hardware will not be able to sustain the heat if all eight cores work at the same time.

Adobe's network by attackers leaking of payment details on nearly 3 million customers

Adobe's network by attackers leaking of payment details on nearly 3 million customers
Adobe's network has been compromised by attackers unknown, resulting in the leaking of payment details on nearly 3 million customers along with product source code.

Software giant Adobe has confirmed that it has suffered a major security breach which has resulted in the loss of personal information relating to nearly three million customers.

The attack, which was confirmed by Adobe late yesterday, resulted in the loss of source code to numerous Adobe products along with customer IDs, passwords, payment card details and other order-related information. While these details are claimed to be encrypted, it's still a wealth of data for the attackers to pore over.

'Very recently, Adobe’s security team discovered sophisticated attacks on our network, involving the illegal access of customer information as well as source code for numerous Adobe products,' Adobe's chief security officer Brad Arkin explained in a statement to customers and press. 'At this time, we do not believe the attackers removed decrypted credit or debit card numbers from our systems. We deeply regret that this incident occurred. We’re working diligently internally, as well as with external partners and law enforcement, to address the incident.'

The company has indicated it has taken the step of resetting all affected customer account passwords, notifying those whose details were stolen by email along with physical letters for those whose payment details were nabbed offering a one-year free credit monitoring service. 'We have contacted federal law enforcement and are assisting in their investigation,' Arkin added.

'We value the trust of our customers,' concluded Arkin. 'We will work aggressively to prevent these types of events from occurring in the future. Again, we deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause you.'
