New Amazon 3D phone with retina tracking technology

New Amazon 3D phone with retina tracking technology
Amazon is currently developing a new Amazon 3D phone for consumers one of which is equipped with a technology that uses four camera to track your face.
Its has been reported by the WSJ earlier this year that the new Amazon 3D phone currently under development would use retina tracking technology, but now Tech Crunch is reporting the user interface uses four cameras to track a user face.
The technology website TechCrunch is reporting that the new Amazon 3D Phone may also include a new shopping feature.
“Another feature said to be planned for the device, but not yet locked for release, is an image recognition feature that lets users take a shot of any real-world object and match it to an Amazon product for purchase. The possibility of this object recognition model offsetting some of the cost of the device through purchases by users is mentioned in the posting.”
Its thought that if and when the Amazon 3D Phone makes it to market, users would be able to use their face to look and navigate around the 3D user interface to see things beyond the edge of the screen. Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet for the Amazon 3D Phone, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.

Honest Trailer for 'The Matrix' by Screen Junkies

Honest Trailer for 'The Matrix' by Screen Junkies
The Screen Junkies has finally given in to your pleas, and created the most accurate trailer for The Matrix — and its less impressive sequels — you'll ever see.

Take a look back at the movie that made sci-fi history, and then — as this trailer points out — "took a huge steaming dump on it" with ridiculous costumes and overuse of CGI in its sequels. The first film made you question reality, while the other two just made you question paying for movie tickets.
Check out the trailer to remember how cool the first film was, and to see how much Neo and Morpheus were totally in love with each other.

iOS 7 have Great Hidden Features

iOS 7 have Great Hidden Features
If you've upgraded to iOS 7 on your iPhone or iPad, you're probably familiar with a whole collection of new features. But some of the best additions in the software update are hiding beneath the surface and take a little time to uncover.

Great Hidden Features of iOS 7 are:

1. Clock Icon

Go ahead and look at your clock app icon. Take a closer look. It's an actual clock with a working second hand. A nice little touch from Apple.

2. Text Timestamps

If you slide text messages to the left, you can see the timestamp for all of them — not just the most recent.

3. The Level

By opening up the Compass app and swiping your finger across it, a new digital "level" feature is revealed. You'll never have a crooked painting on the wall again.

4. Night Mode for Maps

If you're driving late at night, the glow of your iPhone screen can be nearly blinding as you try to use the Apple Maps app. Now, the platform displays a darker interface at certain times. This is less distracting and easier on the eyes when navigating at night.

5. Closing Multiple Apps

You can close multiple apps at once! Here's how: double click the home button to reveal open webpages and platforms. You can then swipe up to three apps at once by using three fingers and dragging them upwards.

6. Siri Controls Settings

You can use Siri to set alarms and reminders on previous iOS versions, but now you can lean on her to navigate settings too. For example, by saying "Open Settings," Siri will open the Settings folder. By asking Siri to "Turn Off Wi-Fi," she'll gladly oblige without you having to lift a finger. You can also tell her to make calls and play voicemail messages too.

7. Block Calls

If you're getting harassing calls, you can now put a stop to it. Visit Settings > Phone > Blocked to add numbers you want to restrict.

8. Apps Near Me

The Apple App Store has a new "Near Me" feature, which shows apps that are popular near your current location. So if you live in New York City, it will highlight handy apps such as NYC Subway KICKMap and Way2ride taxi, which lets you pay for cab rides via the app.

New Colorful update to August smartphone-controlled smart lock

New Colorful update to August smartphone-controlled smart lock
August, the makers of a smartphone-controlled smart lock, is one of those companies and they've just announced a new update to the device that could broaden its appeal beyond the early adopter set.

First announced earlier this year, the smart lock allows you to use your iOS or Android smartphone to remotely control the locking functions on just about any door. Once connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth, the device’s auto-unlock feature senses when you approach the door and opens the lock. The device also gives you the ability to distribute (and instantly revoke) digital keys to friends and family members who may need access to your home.

The update to the device offers both an aesthetic and technical improvement. August will now also offer the device in multiple colors including silver, dark gray and champagne gold as well as a limited edition red version.
On the security side, August has introduced a feature called EverLock, which detects when you’ve closed a particular door behind you and automatically locks that door as you exit. And while the feature may appear to ramp up the security of one’s home, it does raise the issue of what to do if EverLock happens to lock you out when you don’t have your smartphone with you.
“With EverLock, there is an optional setting to temporarily disable EverLock if you leave the house without your smartphone,” says August CEO Jason Johnson in response to our query on this particular point. “This is particularly convenient if you're just running out to your car or taking out the trash.”
Of course, this doesn’t really solve the problem of that particularly absent-minded person who both forgets to take their smartphone with them and forgets to disable EverLock. But if you’re that forgetful, it might be a good idea to have at least one friend permanently listed as one of your smart lock friends to open your door in case of emergencies.
Previously, August only accepted reservations for the device, but starting today you can place a pre-order for the $199 device scheduled to ship in the first quarter of 2014.

'World of Warcraft' - Mists of Pandaria Movie coming December 18, 2015

'World of Warcraft' - Mists of Pandaria Movie coming December 18, 2015
Warcraft, the long-anticipated movie based on Blizzard Entertainment's wildly popular World of Warcraft video game franchise, finally has another release date: Dec. 18, 2015.
Production company Legendary Pictures described the film on Facebook this week as an "epic adventure of world-colliding conflict" — with a reported $100 million budget — that will be directed by Duncan Jones, the man behind sci-fi films Source Code and Moon.
Blood Diamond screenwriter Charles Leavitt will pen the script, while Universal Pictures will distribute the movie in 2015. All parties have yet to announce any cast members.
A big-screen adaptation of World of Warcraft has been talked about for years without much progress until now. Legendary and Blizzard first teamed up in 2006 and planned for a 2009 release. That movie got postponed, though, as scripts and directors came and went. Sam Raimi, who at the time had directed the original Spider-Man Trilogy, was then tapped to take the helm. That version was supposed to head to theaters in 2011, but a year later Raimi left to instead direct Oz the Great and Powerful. It wasn't until earlier this year that Jones signed on and got the ball rolling once more.
Legendary Pictures has a solid history of bringing fantasy to movie theaters, including 300 and The Dark Knight Trilogy. Production for Warcraft will begin in January.
