New GTA Online game has now started

New GTA Online game has now started
The highly anticipated launch of the new GTA Online game has now started and the new GTA Online servers are now available for players to enjoy, lets hope the game servers are capable of handling the load of the initial rush to get online.
Was explained by Rockstar earlier today the GTA Online games requires you own a copy of GTA 5 and that you download a small update to add the features to your GTA 5 menu enabling you to then launch the GTA Online game from either your Xbox 360 or PS3 console. Watch the video after the jump to see GTA Online it in action.
After GTA 5 launched earlier this month with record sales there are now an estimated 16.5 million copies already in circulation, so launch day server outages are expected as the new GTA Online game rolls out around the world.
“GTA Online is a dynamic and persistent online world for 16 players that begins by sharing gameplay features, geography and mechanics with GTA V, but will continue to expand and evolve after its launch with new content created by Rockstar Games and the Grand Theft Auto community. GTA Online takes the fundamental Grand Theft Auto concepts of freedom, ambient activity and mission-based gameplay and makes them available to multiple players in an incredibly detailed and responsive online world.
In GTA Online, players have the freedom to explore alone or with friends, work cooperatively to complete missions, band together to participate in activities and ambient events, or compete in traditional game modes with the entire community, all with the personality and refined mechanics of Grand Theft Auto V.”

Steam Controller is designed to work with all the games on Steam

Steam Controller is designed to work with all the games on Steam
Valve has designed their Steam Controller to work with all the games on Steam: past, present, and future. Even the older titles in the catalog and the ones which were not built with controller support. Valve explains:
“The Steam Controller is designed to work with all the games on Steam: past, present, and future. Even the older titles in the catalog and the ones which were not built with controller support. (We’ve fooled those older games into thinking they’re being played with a keyboard and mouse, but we’ve designed a gamepad that’s nothing like either one of those devices.)
In the center of the controller is touch-enabled surface, this one backed by a high-resolution screen. This surface, too, is critical to achieving the controller’s primary goal – supporting all games in the Steam catalog. The screen allows an infinite number of discrete actions to be made available to the player, without requiring an infinite number of physical buttons.”
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet for the Valve Steam controller, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.

NASA is going to launch 3-D printer into space

NASA is going to launch 3-D printer into spaceNASA is preparing to launch a 3-D printer into space mostly next year, a toaster-sized game changer that greatly reduces the need for astronauts to load up with every tool, spare part or supply they might ever need. The printers would serve as a flying factory of infinite designs, creating objects by extruding layer upon layer of plastic from long strands coiled around large spools.
Doctors use them to make replacement joints and artists use them to build exquisite jewelry. In NASA labs, engineers are 3-D printing small satellites that could shoot out of the Space Station and transmit data to earth, as well as replacement parts and rocket pieces that can survive extreme temperatures.
“Any time we realize we can 3-D print something in space, it’s like Christmas,” said inventor Andrew Filo, who is consulting with NASA on the project. “You can get rid of concepts like rationing, scarce or irreplaceable.” The spools of plastic could eventually replace racks of extra instruments and hardware, although the upcoming mission is just a demonstration printing job.
“If you want to be adaptable, you have to be able to design and manufacture on the fly, and that’s where 3-D printing in space comes in,” said Dave Korsmeyer, director of engineering at NASA’s Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, about 35 miles (55 kilometers) south of San Francisco. For the first 3-D printer in space test slated for fall 2014, NASA had more than a dozen machines to choose from, ranging from $300 desktop models to $500,000 warehouse builders. All of them, however, were built for use on Earth, and space travel presented challenges, from the loads and vibrations of launch to the stresses of working in orbit, including microgravity, differing air pressures, limited power and variable temperatures. As a result, NASA hired Silicon Valley startup Made In Space to build something entirely new. “Imagine an astronaut needing to make a life-or-death repair on the International Space Station,” said Aaron Kemmer, CEO of Made in Space. “Rather than hoping that the necessary parts and tools are on the station already, what if the parts could be 3-D printed when they needed them?”

Save your iOS 7's Battery Life by following 9 steps

Save your iOS 7's Battery Life by following 9 steps
9 Ways To Improve iOS 7's Battery Life: While some of the new features are fabulous, and others are making us crazy, there's one thing we can all agree on: iOS 7 is not helping our battery life. As Ars Technica discovered, iOS 7 kills battery life faster than iOS 6.1 on every device you can use it on.

1. Change Your Spotlight Settings
With iOS 7, you can now search for anything on your iPhone using Spotlight. All you have to do is pull down on your Home screen and you can search pretty much every part of your phone, from notes to music, to mail.
It's convenient, but it also takes a lot of battery power to index all of your stuff. You can change exactly what Spotlight looks in when you use it for search by going to Settings, General then Spotlight search. From there you can choose what you want to index and search.
2. Turn Off AirDrop When Possible
iOS 7 now allows you to quickly and easily share files with your friends' iPhones. This is only available for iPhone 5 and newer. It's a great new feature, but it doesn't need to be on when you're not using it. To turn it off, go to your control center by pushing up from the bottom of any screen. From there you can disable AirDrop until you want to use it.
Save your iOS 7's Battery Life by following 9 steps3. Turn Your Brightness Down
This is a classic way to save battery life, and it's been made even easier with iOS 7. Instead of going through Settings to get to your brightness, you can change your screen's brightness from the Control Center. Just pull up from the bottom of any screen.
4. Turn Off Parallax
Remember how people are getting motion sickness from iOS 7? This is one of the reasons why. The aspect of iOS 7 that makes everything look a little bit 3D and makes your background move around behind your apps. It also drains your battery. To turn it off, go to Settings, General, then Accessibility, then Reduce Motion. Turn Reduce Motion on to stop the parallax effect.
5. Turn Off Bluetooth And WiFi
This is another old one, but remember that if you're moving around and not using your WiFi or Bluetooth, these things are using up your battery. You can keep these features off until you want to use them to save some battery. You can turn these on and off in the Control Center.
6. Disable Auto Downloads
Your iPhone now downloads app updates from the App Store automatically, draining your battery. This feature also automatically downloads purchases from iTunes and the App Store you've made on different devices to your iPhone, which you may not want. To stop this and just update your apps and music manually, go to Settings, iTunes & App Store, and scroll to Automatic Downloads. There you can turn Automatic Downloads off for music, apps and books.
7. Turn Off Frequent Locations
Your iPhone wants to learn the places you often visit to give you "provide useful location-related information." This is takes up a lot of battery life and may also make you feel uncomfortable privacy-wise. To disable it go to Settings, Privacy, then Location Services. There, scroll all the way to the bottom and hit System Services. There you can also turn off Location Based iAds (ads from Apple based on your frequent locations). Then go to Frequent Locations and turn that off, too.
8. Say Goodbye To Siri
Unless you're using Siri regularly, you're better off disabling her to save battery. To do so, go to Settings, General then Siri. Tap Siri and you can turn her off. Sorry, girl!
9. Don't Use A Moving Background
The new moving backgrounds that iOS 7 offers are super cool, but they will totally kill your battery. To change your iPhone's wallpaper, just go to Settings, then Wallpapers & Brightness. Try out one of the beautiful new static wallpapers or use a photo of your own.

Solar Panels for Homes by IKEA

Solar Panels for Homes by IKEA
IKEA will start selling residential solar panels at its stores in Britain, the first step in its plan to bring renewable energy to the mainstream market worldwide.
The company started selling solar panels made by China's Hanergy in its store in Southampton on Monday. It will sell them in the rest of Britain in coming months, it said.
A standard, all-black 3.36 kilowatt system for a semi-detached home will cost 5,700 British pounds ($9,200) and will include an in-store consultation and design service as well as installation, maintenance and energy monitoring service.
"In the past few years the prices on solar panels have dropped, so it's a really good price now," IKEA Chief Sustainability Officer Steve Howard told The Associated Press. "It's the right time to go for the consumers."
The solar panel investment will be paid off in about seven years for an average home owner in Britain, Howard said.
"If you are going to be in your house that long, your energy will be free after seven years," he said.
Some retailers in the U.S., including the Home Depot and Lowe's, already sell solar panels. But in other parts of the world, consumers often have to research a myriad specialist firms before making a purchase.
Howard said IKEA aims to launch the products in other countries eventually. It picked Britain as its test market because it has the right combination of mid-level electricity prices and government-sponsored financial incentives that make investing in solar energy attractive to consumers.
"This is a market by market decision," he said.
