"The ZX Spectrum Is 30 years Old (Video)"


I remember when the ZX Spectrum was originally launched, 30 years ago today Sinclair launched the ZX Spectrum, which was the follow up to the ZX81, and Sinclair sold a total of 5 million units of the ZX Spectrum.

There were a total of eight different models of the ZX Spectrum released over the computers life, with the first model featuring 16kb of RAM back in 1982 and the final model was released in 1987, the ZX Spectrum +3 which came with 128KB of RAM.

"Google Drive Appears On Developers Phone"


Google have yet to make any sort of official announcement on their new Google Drive cloud based service, although we have seen a number of leaks on the service over the last couple of months.

Now Google Drive for Android has shown up on a developers phone, the guys over at The Verge spotted it o Google’s Friday app review from the Android developers, although it has now been removed from the video.

"Sprint’s HTC EVO 3D Is Discontinued"


Fans of 3D phones must be feeling pretty depressed right about now, because Sprint has officially announced that they will be discontinuing the HTC EVO 3D. They didn’t even give it a 3 dimensional funeral. The handset was 3D, but our hearts are left in 2D.

If you want one of these handsets, you’ll need to see what’s left at Sprint’s retail stores, because they won’t restock after these are sold out.

"New Dropbox Links Feature Makes File Sharing Even Easier"


Dropbox the online cloud backup and sharing service has unveiled a new feature of its service in the form of Links. Dropbox CEO Drew Houston and Product Manager Ivan Kirigin demonstrated the new Links feature to the TechCrunch team last week, and now the new Links feature can now be used by Dropbox users to share files in a snap. "Asus Padfone Delayed, Coming In May?"


The last thing we heard about the Asus Padfone was that the device had gone up from pre-order in Taiwan and was expected to launch in the country on the 20th of April.

"Sony Unveils New iOS Music Systems With Magnetic Fluid Speakers"


Sony has this week unveiled a couple of new music systems, in the form of the CMT-V75BTiP and CMT-V50iP, which are equipped with Magnetic Fluid speakers. The CMT-V75BTiP dock pictured below is compatible with iPhone, iPod and iPad devices and connects to them using Bluetooth. But can easily wirelessly stream music from any Bluetooth-enable devices, and is also fitted with a DAB and DAB+ radio.

Both new Sony’s music systems are also equipped with a CD player, and the CMT-V50iP allows you to play music via MP3 players and USB drives, but does not have Bluetooth support. Naoto Yoshioka, Product Manager of Home Audio Video Business at Sony Europe explains:
“paired iconic design with exceptional audio quality. These Hi-Fi systems not only offer exceptional depth and clarity of sound, they’re also elegant, beautiful objects in their own right. And with a range of intelligent features built in – for example, very few rival systems feature a dock that is iPad compatible – they’re the perfect blend of style and substance, form and function.”
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but they are expected to arrive in UK stores sometime during June 2012.

"Microsoft’s Xbox Infringes Motorola Patents According To ITC Ruling"


The US International Trade C omission has just issued a preliminary ruling in a case between Microsoft and Motorola, and the judge dealing with the case has said that Microsoft’s Xbox 360 infringes on four of Motorola’s patents.
Xbox 360The patents are related to H.264 video encoding, which is a standard video format, but the judge dealing with the case wasn’t convinced that ‘Motorola will kill video on the web’ but not licensing the patents under FRAND.

"Galaxy Note Headed To T-Mobile?"


We have been hearing rumors for a while that Samsung’s Galaxy Note will be headed to US mobile carrier T-Mobile, and now the guys over at TMO News have obtained some screenshots of what are reported to be the T-Mobile Galaxy Note.

"Intel powered Xolo phone launches in India: How will it do?"


The first Intel powered Android phone – the Lava Xolo 900 goes on sale in India today. The mobile tie up, widely touted as hailing a new era in mobile computing, is however only the first step for Intel.

NDTV reported that Lenovo, Motorola and European telecom operator Orange are all scheduled to release Intel-powered smartphones. “Lenovo is expected to start the sales of K900, another Intel-powered phone in China next month, while Orange may ship Santa Clara with Atom processor in June. Shanghai: Apple risks losing the right to use the iPad trademark in China, a senior official suggested Tuesday, as a Chinese court was seeking to mediate a settlement between the technology giant and a local company challenging its use of the iPad name.
Yan Xiaohong, deputy director of the National Copyright Administration, told reporters in Beijing that the government regards Shenzhen Proview Technology as the rightful owner of the trademark for the popular tablet computers. His remarks could add to pressure on Apple to find a solution to the standoff.
