Apple’s new iPad Air went on sale today


Apple’s new iPad Air only went on sale today, and the guys over at iFixit have already taken the new iPad Air apart, have a look at the photos below, to see what they found in Apple’s latest iPad. The iPad Air comes with a range of different storage options from 16GB to 128GB, and the iFixit guys got their hands on  the 128GB model.
The iPad Air comes with a 9.7 inch Retina display that has a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, the device is powered by Apple’s new 64-bit A7 processor It also features an Apple M7 motion coprocessor, the tablet also comes with a 5 megapixel iSight camera on the back and a 1.2 megapixel FaceTime HD camera up front.
The iPhone 5S only scored 6 out of 10 on iFixits repearability test, the new iPad Air scored slightly worse with a 2 our of 10, so it looks like it may not be very easy to repair Apple’s latest tablet. Head on over to iFixit at the link below for lots more photos and details on what the found inside Apple’s new iPad Air.

Huawei Ascend W2 to launch in European countries this month
Huawei have announced Ascend W2 device is headed to Europe. The Huawei Ascend W2 comes with Windows Phone 8 and the handset features a 4.3 inch TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The handset is powered by a dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM82309 processor with a clock speed of 1.4GHz and it comes with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of built in storage.
“Building on the popularity of our first Windows Phone 8 device, HUAWEI Ascend W1, we created HUAWEI Ascend W2 so value-savvy people don’t have to compromise on great technology,” said Kevin Ho, President of Handset Product Line, Huawei Consumer Business Group. “HUAWEI Ascend W2 provides an enhanced visual experience and impressive stand-by time, and can be customized inside and out with splashes of color.”
Other specifications on the Huawei Ascend W2 include a 5 megapixel rear camera, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, and A-GPS, the device is headed to some European countries this month. Huawei has said that the Ascend W2 will launch in the Netherlands and Russia this month, it will also be headed to other European countries soon.

Google’s Nikhyl Singhal has this week announced via the search giants Google+ social network that any third-party applications that currently connect to the Google Voice service will be closed in the next six months.
The decision by Google to block access to their Google Voice service has been down to make the service more secure and Google is now looking to roll out Google Voice phone numbers outside the US as well as support MMS messages.
Google’s Singhal explained in his Google+ post :” we want to make Google Voice as secure as possible. There are a few third-party applications that provide calling and SMS services by making unauthorized use of Google Voice. These apps violate our Terms of Service and pose a threat to your security, so we’re notifying these app developers that they must stop “
The third party application have until May 15th, 2014 to continue running after which access to Google Voice will be blocked.
Google have also announced today that they are rolling out a new version of their Google+ Hangouts app for Android users, and new features include support for SMS and MMS messages. A German biohacker by the name of Tim Cannon has cut open his arm and embedded a Circadia 1.0 computer that transmits his biometric data to his Android devicesBecause the surgery couldn’t be carried out by regular surgeons as it would be unapproved by medical authorities, Tim needed to rely on a team of body modification enthusiasts to carry out the Circadia 1.0 implant.

The Circadia 1.0 technology has been designed by Tim and his team from Grindehouse Wetware and the first version has been designed to provide data on the temperature of his body in real time via a Bluetooth connection. As well as being equipped with 3 LEDs which can be used to illuminate the tattoo that is positioned above where the Circadia 1.0 computer is located in his arm.
“I think that our environment should listen more accurately und more intuitively to what’s happening in our body,” Cannon explained. “So if, for example, I’ve had a stressful day, the Circadia will communicate that to my house and will prepare a nice relaxing atmosphere for when I get home: dim the lights, let in a hot bath.”

Ubisoft has today announced that their new South Park The Stick of Truth game launch will also be delayed until March 2014The news of the South Park The Stick of Truth launch delay follows on from the announcement made by Ubisoft that their new Watch Dogs game would also not be launching in time for the launch of the new next-generation PS4 and Xbox One games console. Causing Ubisoft shares to take a dip when the news was announced.
Ubisoft has also today announced today that they are closing down their Ubisoft uPlay Passport service which has caused problems for gamers with the launch of the new Assassins’s Creed 4 Black Flag gameThe closure Ubisoft uPlay Passport of the service has been attributed to reports of customer dissatisfaction which surrounded the uPlay Passport service since its launch and Ubisoft has now listen to feedback and terminated the programme as of today and will not be rolling it out with any other games in the future.
The new South Park The Stick of Truth will not be launching on March 6, 2014 in Europe and on March 4, 2014 in the US. Ubisoft acquired the rights for the game when it purchased THQ Montreal in January. Check out the new gameplay tralier below.
