"T-Mobile HTC One S Getting A Patch To Address Wifi Battery Drain"


Users of the HTC One S have been experiencing problems with the battery during Wi-Fi calling. Users of the device have complained that the battery drains more quickly when using the Wi-Fi calling feature. One user said, “After 5 hours and 32 minutes on battery, screen on 66%, Internet 7%, cell standby 7%, and Wi-Fi running 3 hours and 43 minutes, I’m at a low 35% battery left,”
HTC and T-Mobile have a fix in the works to address the issues, though we have no word on when to expect any software patch. One good thing is that since this is one of HTC’s (and T-Mobile’s) flagship phones, they should prioritize any fix. It shouldn’t be long.

We’ll all keep an eye out for it and let you know when we learn more.
