As well as launching the Sony Xperia Acro S in the US, Sony is now offering another Android smartphone, the Sony Xperia Tipo and it is available as a SIM free device direct from Sony’s US online store.

There are two versions of the Sony Xperia Tipo available, one with a single SIM card and a dual SIM card version which is called the Xperia Tipo Dual, both devices have the same specifications apart for the SIM card slots.

The Sony Xperia Tipo is powered by an 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and it features a 3.2 inch touchscreen display with a 480 x 320 pixel resolution.

Other specifications on the device include a 3.2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, Bluetooth, WiFi and a 1500 mAh battery, it will be available in white blue and black.
