Pantech has just introduced a new smartphone to its range in the form of the Pantech Vega R3 which is equipped with a 5.3 inch Natural IPS Pro LCD touchscreen, with a 1280 x 720 resolution.

The Vega R3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, supported by 2GB RAM and has an impressive 13 megapixel rear facing camera installed, running Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.
The Pantech Vega R3 smartphone is also fitted with a 2600mAh battery which has been designed and optimised for shorter charging times. Together with Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, a microSD card slot, microUSB 2.0, and GPS feature. Lee Yong-joon, executive vice president of Pantech explains:
“Pantech grabbed the No. 2 market share last year. If we properly compete with the iPhone 5, we anticipate reclaiming the position sometime in the first half,”
No prices for the Pantech Vega R3 have been announced as yet by Pantech, but it will be available to purchase in Korea via all three major carriers: SK Telecom, KT and LG U+ from tomorrow.
