Onkyo DS-A5 Dock Adds Airplay Support To Existing Music Systems

Onkyo has this week launched a new iOS dock, which has been designed to add Apple AirPlay support to existing home music systems.

When an iOS device is docked in the Onkyo DS-A5 it can deliver sounds directly to a systems receiver’s DACs for clearer, more expansive sound. Its also equipped with an Ethernet Port and is Wi-Fi certified.

As explained it also AirPlay equipped enabling wireless audio streaming of audio files from iTunes-equipped personal computers. The Onkyo DS-A5 iOS Dock will be available next month with a suggested retail price of $199.

However Onkyo has fitted their new DS-A5 Dock with a 30 pin connector for Apple devices, so if you would prefer to use your sparkling new iPhone 5 with the dock you will need to use the Apple 30 pin to Lightning adapter.
