Apple just announced that they managed to sell a total of 5 million iPhone 5′s in the first weekend since their sixth generation iPhone went on sale last Friday, and they have now released some details on how many people have updated to their new iOS 6.

Apple released iOS 6 last Wednesday and since then more than 100 million people around the world have updated to the latest version of Apple’s mobile OS.
The 100 million figure d0es not include the iPhone 5 sales figures, this is 100 million users who have updated their existing devices to Apple’s iOS 6 since last week.
It will be interesting to see how many of the total iOS devices are updated to iOS 6 over the next few weeks, as Apple has come under criticism for their new iOS 6 Maps app which has replaced Google Maps.
