Earlier in the week we heard that over 1 million Apple iOS UDIDs had been leaked by the hacker group AntiSec, the group claimed that the IDs came from a hacked FBI laptop.

The FBI quickly denied that the information came from an FBI laptop, and now Apple has toldAll Things D, that they did not give any iOS device unique IDs to the FBI.
“The FBI has not requested this information from Apple, nor have we provided it to the FBI or any organization. Additionally, with iOS 6 we introduced a new set of APIs meant to replace the use of the UDID and will soon be banning the use of UDID,” Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris told AllThingsD.
It still isn’t clear exactly where the information came from with AntiSec claiming that it came from the FBI and both Apple and the FBI denying that it came from them.
