New Pacific Rim Movie Official Trailer Released (video)

Pacific Rim MovieA new two minute trailer has been released for the new Pacific Rim movie which is preparing to launch on July 12th 2013 and has been directed by Guillermo del Toro and stars Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi.

The Pacific Rim movie is set in the near future where soldiers pilot giant robots into battle against invading giant monsters called “Kaiju” which have risen from a portal in a crevasse beneath the Pacific Ocean, resulting in a war that has quickly consumed humanity’s resources and cost millions of lives.

“To combat the monsters, a special type of weapon is designed: Santos massive robots, known as Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But as the war continues, even the Jaegers struggle to win the war against a relentless enemy. Against all odds, the remaining forces of mankind must now make a final stand against the mounting apocalypse.”
The Pacific Rim movie will launch in theatres world-wide in the middle of next month. You can also read an interview with the Pacific Rim costume designer Kate Hawley who explains what went into creating the awesome outfits.
