Samsung’s new Galaxy S III smartphone has already become a great success for Samsung, and it looks like the handset is going to be even more popular than Samsung’s Galaxy S II.

According to a recent report from analysts Canaccord Genuity, Samsung sold more of the Galaxy S III smartphone in the US in August than Apple did of their iPhone 4S smartphone.
Of course what has to be taken into account is that many people have been holding off buying the iPhone 4S as they wait for the launch of Apple’s new iPhone 5.
Although it is still impressive that Samsung managed to outsell Apple in the US in August, the Samsung Galaxy S III is obviously a hit amongst consumers and it looks like it will be Samsung’s most popular smartphone to date.
