Printrbot wants to make 3D printing cheaper

3D printing is a big deal. It literally is the next big thing, but it is still out of reach for most people. Printrbot wants to change this. The inventor behind Printrbot wants it to be a quick and cheap solution for anyone, where you could put it together in just a couple of hours.

Printrbot’s creator Brook Drumm says that the simplicity of the device’s construction requires just 45 minutes to be set up, and after that you can print your first 3D model in just a couple of hours. Printrbot will come with a $549 introductory price, while the larger sized printer is $699.

If you are on more of a budget, there is also a limited run of $399 junior printers. I think we all love these numbers. This will get 3D printing to the masses.
