Barnes and Noble is the latest company to introduce a tablet, with the launch of two tablets, the Nook HD and the Nook HD+, the company is obviously looking to take on Amazon and their Kindle Fire tablet and Apple and the iPad.

The B&N Nook HD is a 7 inch tablet that comes with a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels and 243 ppi, and it also comes with a dual core 1.3GHz Texas Instruments processor.
The Nook HD features 8GB of built in storage which will retail for $200 and there is also a 16GB model that will retail for $230, and it also features a microSD card slot which can take up to 64GB cards.
Next up is the B&N Nook HD+ which features a 9 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels and it is powered by a dual core 1.5GHz processor.
Nook HD+
The Nook HD+ will come with 16GB of built in storage and will retail for $270, there will also be a 32GB model that will retail for $300, plus it also features a microSD card slot that can take up to 64GB cards.
Both devices will be available to pre-order online and in Barnes & Noble stores from today and they will start shipping in late October.
