"Onkyo Launches New UBT-1 Bluetooth Adapter for Networked AV Receivers"

Onkyo is a big name in home theater receivers and the company has announced new product for its 2012 receiver line. The new product is called the UBT-1 Bluetooth adapter and it plugs into the front USB port of some of Tokyo’s networked receivers.

The adapter allows Bluetooth enabled wireless phones, tablets, and other devices to stream music directly to certain 2012 model networked receivers. The adapter is configured with CSR’s aptX compression reduction codec in that restores dynamic range audio files.

The adapter has a flat frequency response of 10 Hz to 22 kHz and a dynamic range of 92 dB. The algorithmic delay for the adapter is less than 1.89 ms and it uses Bluetooth 3.0 technology. The adapter is similar in size to the flash drive into shipping now for $59.
