" Where to get the best deals online for Samsung Galaxy S III"


The Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone was launched in India yesterday with a higher than expected price tag of Rs 43,180. The price of the smartphone makes it one of the higher end smartphones, almost as expensive as the iPhone 4S whose 16 GB model costs around Rs 44,000.

Samsung’s India fans were clearly very angry at the price and Twitter was abuzz with the exorbitant price of the phone.

The iPhone and Samsung comparison wasn’t the only one doing the rounds on Twitter. Neil Sanghavi ‏@NeilSanghavi chose to compare the SIII to the Tata Nano: Thinking what to buy! Tata Nano or Samsung Galaxy S3 #SGS3 ! Tough choice by god . Hard times indeed.
Then of course some one inevitably called for a Bharat Bandh. pravin ‏@beingpractical tweeted:The Samsung Galaxy is exorbitantly priced at Rs 43,180 ; This calls for Bharat Bandh tomorrow. #SGS3
Samsung’s ad tag line also got panned by the twitterati; Ankit Khandelwal ‏@AnkitKhandelwal took a stab at its tag line, designed for humans: HOLY SHMOLY! 43K for Samsung Galaxy S3!!! Unfortunately the most human phone is out of reach for most humans :P #SGS3 
Overall Twitter folks were just plain angry at Samsung for treating them like Apple treats India.
However there is some relief available for fans who were hoping for shell out less than 40k for the phone. Major online stores such as Flipkart,Homeshop18 etc are giving generous discounts on the phone. Here’s a list of some online site and the prices they are offering:
Indiatimes Shopping is offering the smartphone for Rs 39,990.
HomeShop18.com, Flipkart, Naaptol are selling the phone for Rs 38,900.
Tradus.in is offering the phone for Rs 38,500
Junglee.com actually has a great deal. You can get the phone for just Rs 36,900.
Tech2.in reports there are rumours that phone might be selling in the market for as low as Rs 36,900, so it’s worth checking out your local mobile store for the best deals as well.
Rs 38,900 seems to be the standard price for most online sites. The phone will get begin shipping from 4 June onwards.
Just in case you missed it here are key features of the smartphone:
• A 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
• An 8 megapixel rear camera with flash and zero shutter lag and a 1.9 megapixel front camera with face recognition related options.
• The device is super light as it weighs 133g and is only 8.6 mm thick.
• It has a Samsung’s quad-core microprocessor and has 1GB RAM.
• S beam which allows users to transport files upto 1GB to another S III without using Wi-fi or data Internet.
In addition Dropbox has promised every consumer who registers the phone free 50GB cloud storage space. The S III also has the the MusicHub which is supposed to be a rival to Apple’s iTunes. The phone also comes with S Voice command, which is touted as Samsung’s rival to Apple’s Siri. The S III runs on Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich.
