"Never thought of leaving Facebook says Zynga’s Mark Pincus"

At D10 conference organised by AllThingsD, CEO of Zynga games Mark Pincus defended his company’s dependence on Facebook and pointed out that the relationship between them is likely to continue.

Zynga is the creator of popular games like CityVille, Zynga Poker, FarmVille, CastleVille, and Hidden Chronicles on Facebook. The company had gone public in July 2011 and had raised upto $1 billion in its Initial Public Offering (IPO).
At the conference Pincus, was not too keen on the idea that Zynga should begin distancing itself from Facebook, “We’ve never thought in terms of attachment and detachment from Facebook,” he said.
He defended the decision to stick with the social networking giant, saying that it was the first platform that helped the company grow in the first place. “We grew the fastest with Facebook,” Pincus said. “And as we saw their platform becoming better and better. … We kept doubling down.”
Pincus also indicated that the company hopes to grow further in the mobile gaming arena. “Mobile lets you play in your cab or on the train. And it’s growing very quickly,” he added.
Facebook in its IPO filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission had pointed out that nearly 12% of its revenue came from Zynga.
Its clear that for now Zynga and Facebook both understand that their success stories are tied together.
Till Zynga gets its mobile strategy on track the relationship between won’t be ending anytime soon.
