 Samsung working on a new 64-bit mobile processor and also new 4K mobile displays
Samsung is working on a new 64-bit mobile processor, and now Samsung has revealed it future plans for its 64-bit processor and also new 4K mobile displays. Android Beat noted the information that was revealed in Samsung’s Analyst Day yesterday, the company will have a two step approach for 64-bit processors, on using an ARM 64-bit core, the other using a Samsung 64-bit core.
It looks like Samsung intends to release ARM based 64-bit processors first, and then Samsung based 64-bit processors some time in the future. The company also revealed that they intend to launch smartphones with 4K resolution mobile displays, although we will have to wait until 2015 to see the first 4K smartphones from Samsung. Also heard previously that Samsung’s first 64-bit mobile processor is in the final stages of development, and it may launch with the new Samsung Galaxy S5 which is expected to be announced in January and go on sale in February of 2014.

Samsung will produce smartphones and tablets some time in 2015 with a 4k resolution, this would be a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, which would be a massive 881 pixels per inch on a 5 inch display.
