Apps Need To Gross $47k A Day Hit App Store’s Top 10 Paid Apps

If you have ever wondered how some apps make it into the iTunes App Store’s Top 10 list, check this out. Obviously they’re popular, but that isn’t the only requirement according to a study conducted by Distimo, which suggests that for an app to make it into the Top 10 grossing apps, it require the app to bring in $47,000 every day in paid downloads!

That is a lot of cash. If you are talking apps that just want to get into the Top 10 list, those are required to be downloaded at least 4,000 times a day. For free apps, you need 72,000 a day. What about the Top 50 Paid Apps? They need to average $12,000 a day, while free apps looking to be featured in the Top 50 Free Apps will require 23,000 downloads each day.

You have to get the numbers to earn the top spots, so your app better be a good one. If it is, you will be rewarded.
