Chrome Browser Update Adds Do Not Track Feature And More

Google has rolled out a new update for its chrome browser this week, which brings with it the highly requested “Do Not Track” feature which has been requested by many Chrome users for some time.

The new “Do Not Track” featured enables users to surf the web without being tracked by website cookies and other means, websites such as Google and Facebook have been well documented for tracking your web actions for marketing purposes, but the new feature will now allow you to block any sites from following your every move whilst online.
Other browsers such as Safari, Internet Explorer and Firefox have already implemented Do Not Track features, but it is taken Google sometime to roll out a tracker blocker to its own final release of Google Chrome browser.
Google has also added a new handy way to access permissions for websites in a single location, by clicking on the lock icon next to the website address. Google explains:
“You’ll also find it much easier to view and control any website’s permissions for capabilities such as geolocation, pop-ups, and camera/microphone access. This saves you from having to dig through settings pages to find these permissions. Now, simply click on the page/lock icon next to a website’s address in the omnibox to see a list of permissions and tweak them as you wish.”
