iFrogz has announced the launch of the new wireless portable speaker called the Boost Plus. The external speaker is designed to allow you to listen to your music without having to wear headphones from a variety of smartphones or MP3 players. The speaker has integrated near field audio technology.

What that means is all you need to do is lay your smartphone on top of the speaker and the music will play automatically. Inside the enclosure is a trio of 2 W x 2RMS speakers. The coolest part about using the near field technology is that there is no pairing needed.
The portable speaker is powered by three AA batteries or a USB connection. The device promises 15 hours of playback on a set of batteries. The speaker is available right now for $49.99 online or at AT&T retail stores.
