Apple says not to use palm rests for your MacBook


Apple says not to use palm rests for your MacBook | TechDigg.info
Maybe you don’t like to touch the aluminum body of your MacBook, or maybe you don’t want to scratch it. Whatever the reason that you use a palmrest, Apple advises you not to.

According to Apple’s support page, the company has warned against the use of palm rest covers since it could damage the display of your MacBook when you close it. 

They explain it by saying that “To enable thin design, the clearance between the display and the palm rest area is engineered to tight tolerances. Do not use palm rest covers as the added thickness may interfere with the designed resting position of the display.”

You can still use palm rests while your MacBook is open, but it could be trouble if you close it with the palm rest on.
