If you have upgraded your iPhone to the latest Apple iOS 6 operating system and are not overly impressed with the current state of the Apple Maps application which has now replaced the previous Google Map App.

You will be pleased to know that sources close to Google say the company is currently working hard on a stand alone Google Maps iOS 6 app, which they hope to have available in the iTunes app store before the end of the year.

PR sources close to Google and the development of the new Google Maps iOS 6 application explained to the Tech Crunch website that Google say:

“We believe Google Maps are the most comprehensive, accurate and easy-to-use maps in the world. Our goal is to make Google Maps available to everyone who wants to use it, regardless of device, browser, or operating system.”

Unfortunately no official information on availability has been released as yet, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
