Hasselblad has today unveiled details of its new high-end Hasselblad H5D camera, that will soon be available in 40,50 and 60 megapixel versions, as well as  50- and 200-megapixel Multi-Shot variants.

The Hasselblad H5D camera builds on the pervious H4D camera, but has extra features, including a new True Focus II autofocus system, the ability to capture print-ready JPEG files, and enhanced larger controls, to name a few.
Other features of the Hasselblad H5D camera include improved weather protection and sealing, and a safety lock, to lock the image sensor in place, when required.
In the details released today Hasselblad also announced a new macro converter, which has been designed to bring close-focus abilities to the company’s HC 50, HCD 28 and HC 35 lenses, together with a new lens, the HCD 4.8/24, a 24mm.
Hasslebald will be showcasing their new H5D camera next week at the Photokina trade show in Cologne, Germany. Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
