"Over 10 million Samsung Galaxy S III units have been sold"

Many considered the Samsung Galaxy S II to be the best Android phone ever made. That put a lot of pressure on Samsung for the Galaxy S III. Well, it looks like they succeeded. Shin Jong-Kyun, a Samsung senior executive, told reporters that the company has sold more than 10 million units of the Samsung Galaxy S III.

While we don’t have any specific sales figures, it isn’t a surprise. The device was launched in May for the European and Asian market and was released in the U.S. in June. Today the handset is available in 140 countries around the world.

This is an enormous success for the company. Shin says he expects the number to grow to 20 million units sold by this fall. I wonder just how soon they will reach that number.
