"Raspberry PI Hits 350,000 Orders"


The Raspberry PI has been very popular with the pre-orders of the device selling out almost instantly and the device has only recently started to be shipped out to customers, and now we get some actual numbers on how many of these tiny $35 computers have been sold.

According to the two companies who are handling sales of the device in behalf of the Raspberry PI foundation, they have received a total of 350,000 orders for the Raspberry PI
to date.
Element14 has received over 100,000 orders for the device and RS Components has received a massive 250,000 orders of the Raspberry PI, making a total of 350,000 Raspberry PI computers ordered.
